Combat (CO) MOS Jobs: Your test scores are combined from the subtests of AR, AS, CS, and MC.The Army uses the nine sub-test categories to create line categories relevant to the type of MOS.įor each category of jobs, you’ll combine various components But you have a fair amount of freedom as an MOS-T so enjoy the shit out of the Gulf because it’s hands down one of the best duty stations the Army can send you.Īnd there’s no shame in admitting ADA sucks lmao. There is basically a Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) for everyone considering the Army as it currently offers over 150 specialties. School is not hard to pass, per se, it’s just really easy to fail. There’s opportunities to get into cool guy or specialty units if that’s your thing. You will stay somewhat busy, as we still have stateside missions and are severely under strength for E6 and below right now.

It’s not completely free of bullshit and toxic leadership, it’s still the Army, but for the most part you are an independent person and expected to act and think as such. Just that some of the details might be off. The Army side has changed a little since most of us have gone through but nothing crazy enough that none of the information is relevant any more. If you have any specific questions feel free to message some of the techs on that first thread or me. We have a weirdly high number of techs on here considering how small the field is.Īnyway, check here and here and /EOD first. If anyone has any experience I'd greatly take some input/advice. Not much else has surfaced through my research. The only thing I've really gathered is that its hard (which I like, as it's a challenge to myself) and has a high attrition rate. It's been pretty tough for me to find anyone here that has any experience in the MOS to help shine some light on the questions. To clarify what I'm trying to get some answers to is what the MOS-T training would be like if at all different from IET soldiers experience. Not saying I'm going to pull the trigger on anything just yet just purely for weighing my options. I'm asking because it's a packet MOS and I already spoke to my career counselor and was told it's a possibility and all that. I'm here just to ask anybody who is or has been an 89D here to ask how training is for someone who would be an MOS-T for it.

To preface, I'm in ADA and I really don't like it (mostly because of the concept of it rather than our work itself) Of course I signed my contract and I accept full responsibility for my actions, and if it comes down to it I'll finish the rest of my contract and then reclass if I decide to stay in.
